Hang Day stadium suspended and fined heavily for allowing Hai Phong fans to light flares
The VFF Disciplinary Board has imposed a very heavy penalty on the Hang Day Stadium Organizing Committee for allowing Hai Phong fans to light flares during the Hanoi vs Hai Phong match, round 6 of Wake up 247 V-League 2019.
The VFF Disciplinary Board has decided to impose a very heavy penalty on the organizers of the match between Hanoi and Hai Phong, in round 6 of the V-League. Accordingly, due to not checking carefully to allow Hai Phong fans to bring hundreds of flares into the stadium to burn throughout the match, the organizers of Hang Day Stadium were banned from having spectators in round 7 and had to pay a fine of 70 million VND.
Head of the VFF Disciplinary Board Vu Xuan Thanh said that the Disciplinary Board will handle according to Article 68 - VFF Disciplinary Regulations (amended and supplemented in 2018), the above violation with the circumstance of repeated offenses, the maximum fine is 70 million VND for the Hang Day Stadium Organizing Committee.

According to the head of the Disciplinary Committee, the Hang Day Stadium Organizing Committee did not manage well right from the start, checking for flares before entering the field. When the match took place, although the security force and fire fighters worked very hard, they could not control the situation because hundreds of flares were lit and thrown onto the field.
In addition to the penalty imposed on Hanoi FC, Hai Phong FC was also fined 70 million VND for allowing home fans to light flares on the away field. This is also the maximum penalty. The Disciplinary Board cannot ban Hai Phong FC from playing at home because of flares set off on the away field.
So in the upcoming match against Ho Chi Minh City in round 7 of V-League, Hanoi will not have the support of fans in the stands. This is a big loss for coach Chu Dinh Nghiem and his team when they need a victory to reclaim the top spot.
