A representative of VNA said that on January 23 (the day of the semi-final match between U23 Vietnam and U23 Qatar), the airline will coordinate with the Vietnamese Consulate in Shanghai to organize a convoy to take fans from Pudong International Airport (Shanghai) to the Changzhou Olympic Sports Center Stadium.
This is where the 2018 AFC Cup semi-final between U23 Vietnam and U23 Qatar will take place. After the match, fans will also be provided with vehicles to move to the center of Shanghai.
At the same time, VNA commits to ensuring that the number of seats on flights from Hanoi/Ho Chi Minh City to Shanghai is always full, ready to serve passengers and fans coming to cheer for the national team.
A leader of Vietjet airline also said that the airline has given away one year of free flights on 38 domestic routes and 38 international routes to most countries in the region... to the Vietnam U23 team.
Previously, on the evening of January 20, U23 Vietnam made history when it entered the semi-finals of the U23 Asian Cup for the first time.
The U23 players excellently defeated U23 Iraq after a 3-3 draw in 120 minutes of play. In the nerve-wracking penalty shootout, center back Bui Tien Dung had the decisive kick, deciding the "shootout" 5-3 in favor of U23 Vietnam.
