According to Kyodo, the Japan Coast Guard announced that on the morning of March 2, four Chinese coast guard ships entered Japanese waters around the Senkaku Islands in the East China Sea.
The vessels, including one that appeared to be armed with multiple guns, were spotted in Japanese waters around 10 a.m. local time, prompting the Japan Coast Guard to ask them to leave. However, they only left after staying there for about an hour and a half.
