Thousands of chickens in Dien Chau died due to flooding.
Heavy rains from last night until now have caused flooding in many areas of Dien Chau district, severely damaging many chicken farms, with thousands of chickens dying.

This morning, September 23rd, Mr. Le The Hieu, Head of the Agriculture and Rural Development Department of Dien Chau district, said that due to the monsoon, from the night of September 22nd until now, the district has experienced very heavy rain. Many localities such as Dien Hoang, Dien Yen, Dien Thinh, Dien Van, Dien Hung, Dien Nguyen, Dien Thai..., especially in Dien Thinh commune, have been severely flooded, resulting in mass chicken deaths.

Currently, local authorities are compiling detailed statistics on the damage, but it has been noted that a large number of broiler chickens at Mr. Nguyen Van Tam's farm in Trung Song hamlet, Dien Thinh commune, have died due to flooding.

Mr. Tran Van Quang, Chairman of the People's Committee of Dien Thinh commune, confirmed that several chicken farms in the commune have been flooded, but the most severely affected is the farm of Mr. Nguyen Van Tam's family, which currently raises 1,500 broiler chickens. "To support the people and assess the damage, the commune is sending personnel to the affected areas to gather specific information," Mr. Tran Van Quang shared.
According to a preliminary report from Dien Chau district, as of 9:00 AM on September 23rd, 380 hectares of crops were flooded, 1,550 chickens died, and 321 hectares of fish ponds were submerged.
