Hundreds of bird players from 4 provinces attend festival in Nghe An

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of April 23, at the stadium of block 7, Do Luong town, the Do Luong starling club organized the 4th starling singing contest in 2017.

Participating in the Starling Bird Singing Contest in Do Luong this year are hundreds of bird enthusiasts, aged from 13 to over 70 years old, from many bird clubs in Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Thanh Hoa, and Hai Phong provinces.

From early morning, 284 bird cages, gathering beautiful singing voices from the provinces, gathered at the stadium of block 7, hung in 4 neat rows in the middle of the yard, competing to sing together.

The criteria of the contest is to select beautiful red-whiskered bulbuls with good and strong singing voices to award prizes. Each round will gradually eliminate red-whiskered bulbuls that are spinning around, sunbathing, or preening their feathers too deeply. Red-whiskered bulbuls with good singing voices will be gradually selected into the top 40, 30, 20, 10, etc.

After 14 rounds, the Organizing Committee has selected the best birds to award prizes. The first prize went to Mr. Tran Huu Loi (Do Luong) with a cup and a 52-inch TV. The second prize went to Mr. Nguyen Quang in Vinh Tan Ward (Vinh City), with a 32-inch TV. The third prize went to Mr. Phuong Anh (Do Luong), with a 120-liter refrigerator. In addition, there were prizes for the top 10, 20, 30, 40, consolation prizes, etc., along with many other valuable gifts.
