Hundreds of people joined forces to clean up Dien Thanh beach.
(Baonghean.vn) - Faced with a huge amount of garbage, organizations and unions in Dien Chau district have launched a campaign to clean up Dien Thanh beach, both to protect the environment and to serve the tourist season.
Dien Thanh Beachis a famous tourist destination in Dien Chau district, however, recently it has been surrounded by garbage, causing environmental pollution and reducing the attractiveness of this tourist destination.

Faced with this situation, Dien Chau district has directed organizations and unions to collect garbage and clean up the marine environment. On April 24, more than 300 people including people from Dien Thanh commune, Dien Thanh Border Guard Station, union members, youths... joined forces to clean up the sea.
For household waste, the locality has contacted the Environmental Company to collect and transport it to Nghi Yen waste treatment area. For decomposable water hyacinth, the government has mobilized excavators to bury it on the beach.
After 1 day of operation, Dien Thanh beach is basically clean again, ready to serve people and tourists, especially during the upcoming April 30 - May 1 holiday.

Ms. Ho Thi Tam - Chairman of Dien Thanh Commune People's Committee said: Because Dien Thanh beach is close to Cua Lach, every time the third sluice is opened, a lot of garbage and especially water hyacinth floats and drifts to the sea, this is also a problem that the locality has been concerned about for many years. In the long term, Dien Chau district has allocated funds for the locality to sign a contract with a unit responsible for collecting garbage at Dien Thanh beach with a frequency of once a month, if it is a peak month, it can be twice a month in the coming time. At the same time, propaganda work is strengthened to raise awareness among people and tourists.
