Hundreds of athletes participate in crossbow shooting and stick pushing in Ky Son

(Baonghean.vn) - Over 240 athletes from 4 border communes of Muong Tip, Muong Ai, Na Ngoi and Nam Can commune gathered to compete at the 8th Cluster III Sports Festival, organized by the People's Committee of Ky Son district.

The congress took place over 4 days (from April 6 to 9), with athletes competing in 5 sports for men and women: Volleyball, tug of war, crossbow shooting, stick pushing and shuttlecock throwing.

To compete in this congress, the communes have prepared to train and select athletes with better quality than in previous congresses. At the congress, the host unit Na Ngoi also organized mass art performances with performances bearing the identity of ethnic minorities along the Vietnam - Laos border.

The Sports Festival is an opportunity to promote the movement of physical training and sports among the people in the area, contributing to the maintenance and development of traditional sports. The festival is also an opportunity to select outstanding athletes to participate in the District Sports Festival held in 2018.
