According to a summary by the Command of the Guard of President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, during the four days of the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Dragon 2012 (from the 30th to the 3rd day of the Lunar New Year), approximately 40,000 people visited the Mausoleum to pay their respects to President Ho Chi Minh. On average, nearly 10,000 people visited the mausoleum each day.

According to the Command's assessment, the number of people and international visitors to the Mausoleum of President Ho Chi Minh is increasing every day, year after year, especially during holidays and Tet (Lunar New Year), when the number of international visitors to the Mausoleum increases 3 to 4 times compared to previous years. Particularly in recent years, to meet the expectations of the entire Party and people, the relevant agencies have focused on repairing, preserving, and upgrading the Mausoleum of President Ho Chi Minh to make it increasingly spacious and beautiful, a place where those who love and admire him gather.
Even in the days following the Lunar New Year, the number of visitors to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum remained high. The Command of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Protection Force directed its subordinate units to proactively implement tasks, striving to complete them well, coordinating efforts to ensure a green, clean, and beautiful environment in the area, while also ensuring services for compatriots, soldiers, and international visitors coming to pay respects to President Ho Chi Minh and lay wreaths at the Monument to the Heroes and Martyrs. Units also continued to assign tasks and maintain on-duty schedules to ensure smooth and safe operations.
