Chinese car company launches sedan priced at 179 million VND, competing with Toyota Vios
Chinese auto brand Changan has just revealed the 2018 Eado DT compact sedan, expected to hit the market next April with a starting price of around 50,000 yuan, equivalent to 179 million VND.

The new Changan Eado DT 2018 is an improved version of the Yuexiang V7 model, aiming to compete with rivals in the small sedan segment in the Chinese market. Compared to its predecessor, the Eado DT 2018 has a fashionable design and a larger body size.
According to information revealed by Changan, the 2018 Eado DT has the following measurements of length, width, and height (4,575 x 1,750 x 1,500) mm, with a wheelbase of 2,610 mm.

The Chinese-origin car has a sleek exterior, larger body size, and more spacious interior than its competitors in the same small sedan segment such as Toyota Vios, Honda City, etc.
The design of the Eado DT 2018 has many lines "borrowed" from Japanese and European car manufacturers... In particular, the front end design stands out with a spindle-shaped radiator grille integrated with chrome-plated horizontal bars, making many people think of the design style of Lexus. The front bumper is extended to both sides through raised ribs emphasizing the sporty element. Meanwhile, the headlight cluster is quite compact, integrated with an additional LED positioning strip.

Inside, the interior of the Eado DT 2018 “copies” the design lines of BMW models. In particular, there are many details on the dashboard, door panels on both sides… covered with leather combined with plastic panels. A large display screen with a smartphone-like interface is located in the center of the dashboard along with function control buttons. The Eado DT 2018 is also equipped with a smart key and push-button start function.
Currently, Changan has not announced information about the engine equipped on the Eado DT 2018. Previously, the previous version of this model was equipped with a 1.6L engine, producing 123 horsepower. According to the plan, the Changan Eado DT 2018 will be displayed at the 2018 Beijing Auto Show taking place in April before being officially distributed to the market. The selling price of this model is expected to be around 50,000 yuan, equivalent to 179 million VND.
Previously, in 2014, the previous version of Changan Eado was imported and distributed in Vietnam by a private car business with a selling price of 552 million VND. Although it has an eye-catching design and many features, Changan Eado still has difficulty convincing buyers when labeled "Made in China" and its quality has not created trust.
