Passengers on the Moscow metro will receive New Year's greetings from Mr. Putin.

Russian President Vladimir Putin's New Year's greetings will be broadcast live on the Moscow subway and along the Moscow Ring Road on New Year's Eve, Sputnik reported on Saturday, citing the capital's transport complex.

"On New Year's Eve, live audio broadcasts of President Vladimir Putin's New Year's greetings to passengers will be held at Moscow's metro stations and the central ring road," the press department of the Moscow Transport Department announced.

The agency also noted that similar broadcasts had been conducted in the Moscow metro last year.
