Accordingly, Noi Bai airport security forces discovered several disassembled gun-shaped objects and 3 plastic boxes containing 200 bullets while checking the checked baggage of passenger LS (51 years old), an American citizen.
This passenger had a ticket for flight BR397 from Taoyuan International Airport (Taiwan) to Noi Bai and was going through security procedures to connect to a flight to Wattay International Airport (Laos).
At the time of inspection, this passenger could not present any documents related to the above items. The passenger voluntarily handed over the items to the authorities for handling according to regulations.
Noi Bai Aviation Security Center coordinated with Lao Airlines representative to make a record of refusal to complete aviation security procedures for passenger LS, at the same time made a record of the incident, and handed over the entire matter to the authorities for handling.
It is worth mentioning that because the luggage of flight BR397 arrived one day late, while the passenger had already left Vietnam for Laos, the representative of Lao Airlines planned to return it to the passenger. However, the security force continued to discover a piece of checked luggage of passenger LS containing 3 disassembled guns and more than 450 bullets.
Airport security forces seized and handed over all evidence to authorities for handling according to regulations.
