Passenger bus catches fire on National Highway 1A

According to the Nghi Loc District Police, the investigation was conducted by officers from the Criminal Science and Technology Department of the Ministry of Public Security, the Criminal Technical Department of the Nghe An Provincial Police, and the Nghi Loc District Police. The results of the investigation have been handed over to the Criminal Technical Department of the Ministry of Public Security for review and to draw a final conclusion on the cause of the car fire.

On the afternoon of August 19th, the Nghi Loc District Police summoned and questioned the vehicle owner, passengers, and witnesses at the scene to reach a final conclusion regarding the number of people on board the vehicle at the time of the fire and the passengers' belongings. According to the statements, the total damage to passengers on the burned vehicle was approximately 175 million VND, with one male passenger reporting the loss of a hydraulic drill worth 150 million VND. Many people also lost their personal documents in the fire.



The car burst into flames on National Highway 1A.

According to Dang Van Thong (48 years old), the car owner from Dien Bien City, he bought the car about 3 months ago for 3.7 billion VND and had comprehensive insurance. Immediately after the fire, representatives from the insurance company were present at the scene to record the incident.

Previously, asBaonghean.vnAccording to reports, on the morning of September 18th, a 45-seat passenger bus with a Dien Bien province license plate, driven by Mr. Thong, departed from Dien Bien carrying 25 passengers. Some passengers disembarked along the way, and by the time it reached Nghi Loc, approximately 10 people, including the driver, remained on board. While traveling on National Highway 1A in Nghi Loc district, a tire exploded, and the bus burst into flames.

A short while later, two fire trucks from the Nghi Loc district fire department arrived at the scene and extinguished the fire, but only the frame of the vehicle remained.
