The journey to capture drug criminals who specialize in "deceiving" the police
(Baonghean.vn) - Detectives participating in Project 418D said that Nguyen Huu Ngan - the subject carrying 10 kg of crystal meth that was caught on June 1 - was very cunning and sophisticated, "deceiving" the police many times with empty vehicles, and even "losing the tail" of the police with a large-displacement motorbike.

Breaking up a major drug case, arresting a subject carrying a loaded gun
(Baonghean.vn) - According to the police, the suspect was very sophisticated and reckless, carrying a gun with him. Therefore, the police had to use many professional measures to solve the case, arrest the suspect and the evidence.
"Fool" the police, ndisguise to fool the neighbors
The successful arrest of Nguyen Huu Ngan (born in 1980, residing in Ngoc Khanh hamlet, Thanh Ngoc commune, Thanh Chuong district) and his accomplices is of great significance in successfully destroying a large drug trafficking and transportation ring from the border districts with Laos in Huong Son district, Ha Tinh province to Vinh city and the southern provinces for consumption. This subject operates a drug ring with very sophisticated and cunning tricks, and has a lot of experience in dealing with the police.

With the route of transporting drugs through many locations, the subject repeatedly "tricked" the police with empty trips. He moved from Vinh city, to Duc Tho (Ha Tinh), then back to Cau Treo border gate, to Huong Son (Ha Tinh), then back to Hoang Mai town, in an attempt to deceive the authorities. Even just 1 day before his arrest (May 31), he also made a trip without cargo like that.
A detective participating in the investigation team said that when he was caught, Nguyen Huu Ngan confessed that the trip was to "test the police", if he was caught at that time, there would be no evidence. However, he could not have imagined that his schemes and calculations could not fool the detectives, all movements were in the sights of the investigation team, the time to "cast the net" was not random or coincidental as he thought.
Nguyen Huu Ngan always defends himself with a loaded pistol, ready to fight back against the authorities at any time.

Despite his cunningness, Nguyen Huu Ngan has won the sympathy of his neighbors in his hometown. He behaves moderately, politely, is kind-hearted, and always helps people. According to the detectives, when they got information about Nguyen Huu Ngan in his hometown, everyone praised him, and no one thought that it was the outer cover of a drug lord.
"Thick orange peel, sharp nails"
However, no matter how cunning, Nguyen Huu Ngan's sophisticated tricks could not fool the police. Although they had grasped the situation, the detectives participating in the project still had to carefully consider each step.
On the morning of June 1, knowing for sure that he would "take" a large shipment from Huong Son to Vinh, the Task Force decided to "spread the net". Dozens of experienced soldiers were mobilized, coordinating with police agencies along the man's route, closely following the target to prevent him from escaping.

At 9:30 a.m., Nguyen Huu Ngan was sitting in a Fortuner car with another subject, Le Van Thang (born in 1988, residing in block 8, Thanh Chuong town, Thanh Chuong district) passing National Highway 8A, Hoang Nam village, Son Tay commune, Huong Son district, Ha Tinh province, when the traffic police asked to stop the car to check administrative procedures.
The soldiers on duty were ordered to carry out the inspection procedures as usual for other vehicles, to avoid "pulling a cord and disturbing the forest". Thang complied but did not open the door.
"About 5 minutes later, Ngan "saw the commotion" and reached out to grab the gun he had prepared. We decided to mobilize a large number of soldiers to surround the car to suppress it. Two soldiers were ordered to stand on either side of the car and use AK guns to shoot into the air very strongly. At this point, the subject knew he could not escape, so the soldiers quickly rushed in to arrest him," a scout recounted.
The seized evidence included 10 kg of synthetic drugs, a loaded K54 gun and 7 bullets, a Fortuner car, more than 10 million VND in cash and 4 mobile phones.
At the police station, both Nguyen Huu Ngan and Le Van Thang confessed to their crimes. The authorities are continuing to investigate and clarify the case.
