The journey of love of white-shirt volunteers
(Baonghean.vn) - Teaching children how to concentrate, do calculations, practice rehabilitation... that is what the members of the White Blouse Club have been doing for the past 5 years to support autistic and disabled children in Nghe An.
Every Monday to Thursday at exactly 2:00 p.m., members of the White Blouse Club take turns starting their daily activities at the Nghe An Provincial Children's Fund and Special Education Centers in Vinh City.

For two and a half hours, the club members will work with teachers to teach, play, or practice rehabilitation for the students. “Because the students here have special characteristics, all club members are trained in a training course lasting 2 or 3 sessions. This training course is taught by teachers from the Centers and Children's Funds on how to get acquainted, attract attention, and play with the children,” Hai Tung shared.

As medical students, with stressful study and hospital schedules, and some members working part-time to earn money to cover living expenses, the members of the White Blouse Club always try to arrange and balance their time to take care of the children.
Although it is hard work, when looking at the smiles on the faces of children who suffer many disadvantages compared to their peers, the members of the Club feel that their work is truly meaningful and helpful to the community.
Giving is receiving. The members of the club admit that, despite the hardships in the process of caring for and teaching, when working with students, each person has trained themselves to be patient.
According to the head of the White Blouse Club, the students here often develop slower than normal children. Therefore, teaching and playing with them requires each member not only to know the method but also to be extremely patient.
Although it may be difficult at first, once you get used to it, everything becomes easier and it also trains you to be patient. Many members, after participating in activities with the club, have decided to become doctors and nurses to take care of autistic and disabled children, Hai Tung confided.

Not only stopping with these activities, the Club members also actively participate in summer volunteer activities; the school's "Warm Spring" program; combining with the group of doctors to participate in preliminary examinations and disease screening in mountainous districts of Nghe An... All activities of the "white shirt" volunteers aim at a single goal: Spreading the message of love.
