Overview of the conference.
The Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence, passed by the 12th National Assembly at its 2nd session on November 21, 2007, came into effect on July 1, 2008. This is an important law with profound humanitarian significance, institutionalizing the Party and State's policies and guidelines on the prevention and control of domestic violence. Implementing the Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence is the responsibility of all levels of government, sectors, individual families, and society as a whole.
Over the years, the implementation of the Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence in the province has received attention from the Party Committee, the government, and various departments and organizations. The dissemination and education of the Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence, in particular, has been carried out comprehensively, helping people gradually understand that acts of domestic violence are violations of the law.
At the workshop, delegates presented papers on "Sharing experiences in handling perpetrators of domestic violence" by the Police Investigation Agency; "Results of implementing the Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence" by the Department of Justice; and contributions from the practical implementation of the Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence in Ky Son and Tuong Duong districts... Through this, they exchanged experiences, shared knowledge, and resolved difficulties and obstacles in the implementation of the Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence. The opinions focused primarily on the issue of preventing and raising awareness of domestic violence among individuals and family members. Building a happy family must be based on the principles of equality and mutual respect.
