Inside the facelifted model there's an engine start-stop button, a new instrument cluster with white-lit buttons and a new touchscreen infotainment system with a Smart Link display that connects to Android-powered smartphones.

Perodua Axia is powered by a new 1KR-VE EEV 3-cylinder, 1.0-liter engine that produces 67 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 91 Nm of torque at 4,400 rpm. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission. The manual transmission is said to help the car save fuel, consuming only 22.5 km/l.
