Harry Kane injured, at risk of missing EURO group stage
Harry Kane remains a mainstay of the Euro runners-up, but his ability to play at his best in Germany this summer is a question mark.

Harry Kane was substituted in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid. He will not play in the remaining two matches of the 2023-2024 season with his teammates at Bayern Munich. According to Bild, the English striker has left Munich to treat a back injury. This is a fairly serious injury, especially when Harry Kane had to play at high intensity throughout the last season.
Manager Gareth Southgate is still waiting for a report from doctors on Harry Kane's current condition. According to experts, even if the former Tottenham player is injured, the 53-year-old coach is likely to still name the 30-year-old striker in the Euro 2024 squad.
At Euro 2024, England are in Group C with Denmark, Serbia and Slovenia. This is considered not too difficult a group for the Euro 2020 runner-up and Harry Kane can rest until he fully recovers. Other attacking players such as Ollie Watkins or Jude Bellingham can replace the goal-scoring role that Harry Kane left.
