With the characteristic of a locality with nearly 50% Catholics and 22% of war veterans in religious areas, the educational level of the people is uneven, customs and living habits have distinct features. To create solidarity between Catholics and non-Catholics, the War Veterans Association of the ward has established clubs, skillful mass mobilization models, helping each other develop the economy, manage security... In particular, the model "Club helps each other to do good economic activities", war veterans members have increased mutual help and support in economic development, striving to become rich legitimately. In addition to the fixed capital of billions of VND of households, from 2012 to now, the Club has also built a fund of more than 400 million VND to support capital for war veterans and families in difficult circumstances to borrow to develop the economy.

In addition, the Thu Thuy Ward Veterans Association also built a "savings box" model to encourage officers and members of the Veterans Association to save a part of their daily expenses to put in the savings box. This is a meaningful model and has been participated by many officers and members since 2013, collecting 13,864,000 VND to organize charitable activities.

Not only actively "mobilizing the people" in economic development, the veterans of Thu Thuy ward are also active members, the core force in tourism security management of Thu Thuy ward. The Association and the ward's departments, branches and unions regularly propagate and mobilize people to well implement the "5 no" policy and the regulations of the town and ward in tourism management. At the same time, they directly participate in mediation sessions in the fields of land disputes, violations of encroachment on traffic corridors, and violations of the "5 no" policy in tourism business activities.

The Association also builds models in branches according to the characteristics of each residential area, in which each cadre and member of the Veterans Association is the core nucleus, both playing a good role in mobilizing people to their families and neighbors, and at the same time being a propagandist to mobilize people to implement models: ensuring security and order in branches 3 and 4, a model of a green, clean, and beautiful road in block 1, a model of economic development, tourism service activities in branch 2,...
