The Provincial People's Council plans to question two groups of issues at the regular meeting at the end of 2023.
(Baonghean.vn) - Two groups of questions at the 17th Session of the Provincial People's Council include: Management and effective use of land originating from state-owned farms and forestry farms and youth volunteer teams; and solutions to develop Nghe An tourism into a spearhead economic sector.
Expected questioning of Natural Resources - Environment and Tourism sectors
At the press conference, the leaders of the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the Provincial People's Council announced the expected content and agenda of the 17th session. Specifically, at the session, the Provincial People's Council will consider 35 reports from the Standing Committee and committees of the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and judicial agencies.
The meeting also considered and approved 33 draft resolutions, including a resolution on the 2024 socio-economic development plan; a resolution on the 2024 public investment capital plan; a resolution on the central budget development investment capital plan to implement three national target programs in 2023 in Nghe An province...
The question and answer session at the meeting is expected to question 2 groups of contents; including: Management and effective use of land originating from state-owned farms and forestry farms and youth volunteer teams (directly answered by the Department of Natural Resources and Environment); Solutions to develop Nghe An tourism into a spearhead economic sector in the spirit of Resolution No. 39-NQ/TW dated July 18, 2023 of the Politburo on building and developing Nghe An province until 2030, with a vision to 2045 (directly answered by the Department of Tourism).
At the press conference, representatives of press agencies and journalists highly appreciated the innovation and increasing improvement of the quality of activities of the Provincial People's Council; including organizing sessions, selecting content for questioning and answering questions related to urgent issues of life, maintaining an online telephone line at the session, creating conditions to promote direct democracy of voters and people towards the activities of State management agencies.
In addition, reporters also raised some concerns related to monitoring, following up, urging and handling responsibilities for heads of provincial and local departments and branches in delaying or failing to fulfill promises at the question and answer sessions as well as implementing conclusions and recommendations after supervision of the Provincial People's Council.

Strengthening effective coordination between the Provincial People's Council and press agencies
