Revealing Putin's favorite fashion 'taste'

Russian President Putin admits he doesn't care much about fashion, and usually wears whatever he sees hanging on a hanger.

"My style of dress is very simple, usually businesslike," Itar-tass quoted the Russian leader as saying at a meeting with members of the Tavrida youth forum, when asked how his style of dress has changed over the course of his personal development.

“I rarely go anywhere other than my office. But sometimes I go to events like Tavrida. I think people who do my job dress the same,” Putin said. “In everyday life, I try to wear simpler clothes that are comfortable. Of course, I still want to look elegant and beautiful.”

"I also try to dress appropriately. I don't pay much attention to how I dress, but I have to admit that it is very important," he said. Putin added that he did not know what to call his fashion style.

The Russian leader said that in the past, he sometimes did not take the matter of dressing seriously. However, he now realizes that choosing clothes is very important.

"I think choosing clothes is really an art. It is very important for people because it contributes to creating the environment in which we live," President Putin added.
