Herrera: 'Solskjaer is successful because he gets along with his players'
The Spanish midfielder believes the Norwegian coach has calmed the dressing room thanks to his understanding with his players.
"Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has got on well with some players who have been performing at their best recently. He has revived Marcus Rashford, Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard. All of which is not easy," Ander Herrera told ESPN. "As a coach, sometimes you don't need to talk too much about tactics. The hardest thing for a coach is to get the players to play at their best and Solskjaer is one of them, as you can see."

Herrera joined Man Utd in the summer of 2014, from Athletic Bilbao. During his four and a half years playing in England, the Spanish midfielder always stood out with his fiery spirit and rare intelligence. He also famously "locked down" Eden Hazard, in Man Utd's historic victory over Chelsea at the end of the 2016-2017 season.
Along with David De Gea and Pogba, Herrera is among the candidates to hold the Man Utd captaincy in the future. However, the 29-year-old midfielder does not take this issue seriously. He expressed: "I have been asked to wear the captain's armband a few times but honestly I don't think it is necessary. I don't care too much about it. I think the best thing is to have different leaders in the team. We need the contribution of all members."
"I'm really grateful to the fans for appreciating me and thinking I deserve to be captain. I can be a leader at times but I don't think I'm the only leader in the dressing room," Herrera stressed.
Man Utd are currently negotiating to keep Herrera. He has less than six months left on his contract, and can freely contact other clubs from January 2019.
