(Baonghean.vn) - The livestock house project of the 8th Youth Volunteer Corps located in Trung Tam village (Huoi Tu commune - Ky Son) started construction in 2010 with a total investment of 3.4 billion VND from the State budget. However, after 1 year of construction, it was stopped due to lack of capital.
Mr. Nguyen Huu Trach - Captain of Youth Volunteer Team 8 said:
“The livestock farm project was completed about 2/3 of the plan with a budget of 2 billion VND, but has been stalled and abandoned since then. Currently, the project has not been handed over for use, so it is abandoned and overgrown with weeds. The Youth Volunteer Force 8 has also submitted a request for investment capital to continue completing the project to put it into use, but there have been no results yet.”

After 1 year of construction with the capital reaching 2 billion VND, the livestock house of the 8th Youth Volunteer Team has been abandoned since then. |
The concrete mixers used for construction work were left behind for many years and are now rusted. |
The barn was built to serve livestock farming, but for the past 5 years it has remained deserted because it has not been put into use. |
The project has not even poured the roof yet, only the concrete pile frame has been built. |
That is also the reason why the completed construction parts quickly deteriorate even though the project has not been completed yet. |
The billion-dollar project that was supposed to contribute to the economic development of the highlands is now nothing more than a ruin. |
Wild plants block the path and view in the livestock areas. |
The road up and down to the livestock farm is now only used as a road for people to go to the fields. |
Some "active" and "stingy" people have "converted" the purpose of using the facility from large-scale livestock farming of the General Team to "household" livestock farming. Photo: The villagers' self-converted pig pen made use of an abandoned facility. |
Meanwhile, the 8th Youth Volunteer Force still has to raise livestock in this makeshift barn area. |
