Hiddink: 'Van Gaal's fall was a move from a judo textbook'
Chelsea manager Guus Hiddink has revealed that compatriot Louis van Gaal's fall during Man United's match against Arsenal was actually a move from a judo textbook called the "sudden fall".
The reason Hiddink knows this is because he and Van Gaal himself studied judo when they were physical education teachers. However, the Chelsea coach also said that he would never do what Van Gaal did.
“You can see that he (Van Gaal) has been trained, because he does the moves very well. I can do some judo moves so I could do the same, but I won’t do it. I don’t have a black belt,” Hiddink revealed, before adding that he also does boxing.

“When I was 18 or 19, I also did boxing. It is one of the most difficult sports because you have to be very good at endurance and very strong. But I really like it.”
Hiddink's teams are known for their discipline and fighting spirit, like Chelsea now. "I encourage that. I instilled that when I was at PSV, with the young players from the academy. We also had them wrestle, because you need that on the pitch. I'm not saying you have to be a wrestler on the pitch but you need those skills."
Regarding the midweek Premier League match against Norwich, Hiddink revealed that Alexandre Pato could be given his Chelsea debut as he is planning to rest top scorer Diego Costa. Chelsea have two Premier League matches against Norwich and Stoke before the second leg of the Champions League round of 16 against PSG. "That is a possibility. We will have two Premier League matches before the rematch against PSG," the Dutch coach confirmed.
However, Hiddink also stressed that young talent Bertrand Traore, who scored in all three appearances from the bench, is Chelsea's next striker after Costa, not Pato and Loic Remy.
“Pato is not ready to play the whole game but he can play part of the game. But again I have to say that we will consider the opportunities for the young players. Costa is the number one but the other strikers have to be ready. I am particularly pleased with the progress of Bertrand Traore. He is young and not as well known as the other players but I am not concerned about that.”
Hiddink's Chelsea are currently ranked 11th in the Premier League, 11 points behind 4th-placed Man City.
