Vietnam Toilet Association does not use state budget capital

Mr. Le Van Hiep - Chairman of the Vietnam Toilet Association - said that the association's founding congress was successfully held on November 8 in Binh Duong.

Regarding the information causing a stir and comments online about the association's name, Mr. Hiep said that right from the beginning of the campaign to establish the association, the campaign committee considered it, but decided to choose the name Vietnam Toilet Association to correctly state the nature of the problem.

According to the association's charter approved by the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Vietnam Toilet Association is a socio-professional organization, including organizations and individuals in the fields of environment, production, manufacturing of toilets, sanitary equipment, renovation and improvement of toilet quality.

The Association is under the state management of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and relevant ministries and branches.

Regarding operating costs, the Vietnam Toilet Association operates based on socialized capital, not using budget capital.

The first pilot smart toilet was installed in Thu Dau Mot City, Binh Duong at the end of 2017.
