Accordingly, the Gepard 3.9 with factory number 486 (the first of the second pair of Gepard 3.9 ships built by Russia for Vietnam, the other with number 487) is anchored at the port of Novorossiysk (Black Sea), next to the cruiser Mikhail Kutuzov (currently serving as a floating museum).

Previously, the Gepard 3.9 with the number 487 also anchored next to the cruiser Mikhail Kutuzov. The appearance of two Vietnamese Gepard ships in the Black Sea is to conduct sea trials before handover.
There is currently no official information about the testing process of this pair of warships. But before that, in February this year, the Gepard 486 was present in the Black Sea after completing a number of assessments at sea.
Now, after nearly 3 months, it seems that the ship is ready to be officially transferred to Vietnam. General Director of Zelenodolsk Shipyard (where the Gepard 3.9 ships for Vietnam are built), Mr. Renat Mistahov said that the handover of the next pair of Gepard 3.9s to the Vietnam Navy will be carried out in the middle of this year.
