Witnessing Clint Dempsey's equalizer in the last minute of the match, coach Alex Ferguson could not keep his composure and harshly criticized the linesman.

Having taken the lead quite early thanks to Robin van Persie, but in just one minute of carelessness from the defense, MU had to pay a heavy price when Dempsey scored to seal a 1-1 draw and a valuable point for Tottenham.

This draw makes the gap between the two Manchester teams only 5 points.

In a post-match interview, the Scottish tactician said: "We were unlucky in this match. I think MU should have had a throw-in in their own half but the linesman didn't do it. Not only that, he didn't see Wayne Rooney go down in the penalty area and was indifferent to other fouls."

"I still remember clearly when he refereed the match between MU and Chelsea a few seasons ago. At that time, he let Drogba score a goal from a position of 3 meters offside. I was really disappointed."

On the other side of the front line, coach Andre Villas-Boas did not hesitate to praise his students: "My students played well and deserved to win. Tottenham had 15 shots and controlled the ball up to 60%. This draw may disappoint MU but for me it is a reasonable result."

"I have no further comment on Rooney's fall, but throughout the 90 minutes, Tottenham also received many unfavorable decisions from the referee. I want to see this match from my point of view while MU wants to see it their way"./.
