Malaysian football team coach resigns before meeting SLNA at AFC Cup

Coming to work at this team in July 2017, the 59-year-old Portuguese coach helped the Malaysian representative win the M-League. Right after helping Johor DT defeat Melaka United 3-0 in the 4th round of the National Championship, Mr. Ulisses Morais suddenly resigned in a mysterious way.

In a statement posted on the Johor Southern Tigers website, the club's home page, on Sunday, coach Morais said he had stepped down from coaching Johor Darul Ta'zim due to the health of a family member.

"Today is a very sad day for me as my tenure at this great club comes to an end. As with everything in life, we all have family priorities and I am forced to leave this position. Thank you to all the staff and players for the nine months we have spent together and the many achievements we have made," said coach Ulisses Morais.

This farewell makes Johor DT fans very worried because on February 28, the Malaysian representative will visit Vinh Stadium to meet Song Lam Nghe An - the 2017 National Cup champion.

At present, there is no information about the Malaysian club appointing a new coach and most likely, the assistants will temporarily direct Johor DT to face SLNA.

After the first 4 rounds of the Malaysian National Championship, Johor DT is leading with 9 points. It is expected that tomorrow (February 27), Johor DT will be present in Nghe An to prepare for the match in Group H, AFC Cup 2018./.

SLNA: Don't let the "rice be ruined and the popcorn burnt"!
