After working in Vietnam for 7 years and having a family with two little angels, head coach Graechen has submitted an application for Vietnamese citizenship.

Guillaume Graechen was sent by the global Arsenal JMG Academy to coach the first cohort of students at the HAGL Arsenal-JMG Academy in 2007. Graechen, a French national, had a relationship with a Vietnamese chef at the HAGL academy; they married in 2009 and now have two lovely children.

Coach Graechen is happily spending time with his family, including a lovely baby boy and a baby girl.

During his seven years working at the HAGL Arsenal-JMG Academy, Guillaume Graechen worked closely with Chairman Duc to train and develop Vietnamese youth football. Because of this close relationship, Graechen decided to apply for Vietnamese citizenship under the full Vietnamese name Doan Guillaume Duong, according to HAGL team leader Nguyen Tan Anh. All procedures will be completed next week.

Earlier this year, Chairman Duc also successfully extended Coach Graechen's contract until 2021, allowing him to work confidently at the HAGL Arsenal-JMG Academy.

Graechen's success as head coach of the Vietnam U19 team will make the French strategist's application for Vietnamese citizenship somewhat more favorable.

Guillaume Graechen was born on April 24, 1977, in Vernon, France.

He began his playing career in 1993 with Dijon (a team currently playing in Ligue 2). In 2007, Guillaume Graechen retired and became a talent scout for former French international Jean-Marc Guillou.

In late 2007, it was coach Arsene Wenger himself who introduced Guillaume Graechen to Chairman Duc when the owner of the HAGL Group needed a person with dedication and talent to help build the HAGL Arsenal JMG Academy.
