(Baonghean.vn) - Although the first 45 minutes ended with a score of 2-1, Hanoi Club showed an unconvincing performance in the second half.

In the second half, SLNA played better and created many good chances but could not take advantage. Meanwhile, the away team Hanoi retreated to defend and tried every way to preserve the score of 2-1. Many fouls and blatant time-wasting situations by coach Chu Dinh Nghiem's students occurred, causing the match to fall apart. Although the referee issued two warning cards to Van Quyet and Moses on the away team, and added 5 minutes of extra time, Hanoi still got what they wanted when leaving Vinh Stadium.

Speaking at the post-match press conference, coach Chu Dinh Nghiem said: "I am satisfied with the result of this match and Hanoi got a worthy victory. However, the quality of this match was only average and there should have been more than 3 goals scored."

Talking about the time-wasting situations of his team's players, the coach of Hanoi Club said: "I did not instruct the players to waste time, instead I tried to find ways to reduce the excitement of SLNA when they were pressing the field. I think any team would do the same in this situation."

At the end of the match, many Nghe An fans left, some stayed at Vinh stadium to protest the unconvincing play of the away team and the decisions of referee Truong Hong Vu.

Regarding SLNA, Coach Nguyen Duc Thang commented: "I am not satisfied with this match, especially the way Hanoi Club played. In the first half, there were times when we did not play really alertly and throughout the match, SLNA created more good opportunities. Unfortunately, luck was not on our side from the crossbar to the goalpost."

The Nghe An coach affirmed: “The Hanoi team won but they showed that they are not a team that plays “Fairplay”. Besides, the referee tolerated that with lenient decisions. Any player playing in such a context would be frustrated.

Football is now moving towards Fairplay and we are building that style of play. Everyone has their own opinion on how to dampen the opponent's excitement, but everything has its limits. You see, the audience reacted very strongly to the way Hanoi played. I don't need to comment further."

Losing this match, SLNA dropped to 11th place with 17 points and had no other choice but to be determined to defeat SHB Da Nang in the next round taking place on September 15.
