Mr. Carlos Tabora could not hide his pride with the 2-0 victory in the final match of Group E of the 2017 U20 World Cup.

"Both teams played strongly, determinedly, played with quality, and executed their tactical plans well. The opportunities were equal, but U20 Honduras took advantage of them better," coach Tabora shared in the post-match press conference.

In a must-win match to have any hope of advancing, U20 Vietnam poured forward to attack after the opening whistle. Coach Hoang Anh Tuan's team dominated the first half, but failed to score. In the second half, the game belonged to U20 Honduras, and the team from Central America scored two goals from quick counterattacks in the 76th and 90+3 minutes.

The coach of U20 Honduras said that U20 Vietnam is a strong opponent, not as weak as everyone thinks.

"U20 Vietnam started well, creating pressure. During the break, I asked the players to slow down, move to the center, and organize more tightly. I think this change created an important turning point. And in the second half, my players' mentality was also better, so we won," coach Carlos Tabora shared.

This is the first time U20 Vietnam has participated in the U20 World Cup. Coach Hoang Anh Tuan and his team left the tournament with one point after drawing 0-0 with New Zealand, losing 0-4 to France and 0-2 to Honduras.

Meanwhile, despite beating Vietnam, U20 Honduras still could not get past the group stage. This team previously lost 0-3 to France and 1-3 to New Zealand.
