(Baonghean.vn) - Up to 14 SLNA players will have their contracts expire after the 2019 season, including 11 names trained by SLNA itself. That will certainly be the biggest concern of the Nghe An team's management in the process of preparing for the new season.

Domestic players whose contracts with SLNA will end after the 2019 season ends include: Nguyen Manh, Khac Ngoc, Dinh Hoang. Ngoc Toan, Quang Tinh, Ngoc Duc, Ho Phuc Tinh, Le The Cuong, Tran Dinh Dong, Hoang Van Binh, Tran Van Tien.

In addition, foreign players such as Olaha, Vinicius and Damir Memovic will no longer be part of the Vinh team after round 26 of V.League. According to a source, Olaha will leave Vietnam to play for Hapoel Tel-Aviv Club in the Israeli Premier League.

Thus, the number of players who have terminated their contracts with SLNA is 14 people, among them there are 11 domestic players trained by the club itself, making the problem of retaining SLNA's force more difficult than ever. Surely the Nghe An team will have to make every effort to retain key players such as Nguyen Manh, Khac Ngoc, Ngoc Toan, Quang Tinh, Dinh Hoang...

However, the thing that SLNA is facing is the financial issue for the new season. In other words, money will decide whether the above names stay or go.

After 10 years of companionship, Bac A Bank seemed to be about to part ways with SLNA, but at the last minute, they supported another season because the club could not find a new sponsor before the start of V.League 2019.

Therefore, after the 2019 season ends, the financial problem is the biggest concern for the Nghe An team at this time. And if they are slow in finding funding, SLNA will find it difficult to keep their key players.

Responding to the question of what plans the Board of Directors has to retain players whose contracts have expired, Coach Duc Thang said: “We are planning and working with sponsors. I cannot guarantee how much funding there will be for the new season, it depends on many different factors.”

Also according to the Nghe An coach, SLNA's goal in the remaining stages of the V.League is to play well in each match and not set any specific targets.

“This year’s competition is very fierce. You see, Khanh Hoa is at the bottom with 23 points but still has a chance to stay in the league. Just one misstep and the middle-ranked team will easily fall into the bottom group. I hope that next season, SLNA will have better preparation and we will set higher goals,” said coach Duc Thang.
