Coach Park Hang-seo: Tien Dung has the qualities to be captain in the match against Oman

In the second match of the 2018 Four Nations Tournament, U23 Vietnam won against U23 Oman with a minimum score of 1-0. The author of the goal was player Doan Van Hau with a superb shot with the outside of his left foot.

U23 Vietnam had a minimal victory against U23 Oman.

This victory helped U23 Vietnam get 6 points after 2 matches and touch the championship title of the tournament. In this match, Coach Park Hang-seo used the second team with the captain's armband belonging to goalkeeper Bui Tien Dung.

Sharing with the press about this decision, head coach Park Hang-seo explained:"I thinkHe has the qualities and responsibility to be captain of today's match.We need to give all players a full and equal chance. The players played very well today and kept a clean sheet. I think that is enough to judge our ability.”

According to coach Park Hang-seo, Tien Dung has proven his ability by playing very well at the 2018 AFC U23 Championship. However, when returning to the V-League, Dung did not play regularly in Thanh Hoa, making coach Park Hang-seo and the coaching staff quite worried because this could cause Tien Dung's performance to decline.

“But fortunately, Dung’s performance is not to the point where we are worried. However, during the match, Dung needs to call or signal the defense more.”Coach Park said.

Besides, the Korean strategist also gave a lot of praise to Doan Van Hau, the owner of the only goal today, when he commented that Van Hau is a very rare left-footed player in Vietnam and also has many advantages.

Coach Park Hang-seo is satisfied with his players' performance.

“In the situation where Hau scored, I thought he had shot wide because it was a very difficult finishing situation. It was a goal that I really liked."Coach Park Hang-seo said.

This was a pretty good victory for U23 Vietnam as they created a balanced game. However, coach Park Hang-seo also seemed quite worried when the opponent chose a defensive counter-attack approach, causing U23 Vietnam to face many difficulties.

“Our opponents today played a tight game, with good counter-attacking defense. When they defended, the midfield became very cramped, causing a lot of trouble for the team.
