Coach Park Hang-seo admits making mistakes that caused Vietnam to lose narrowly to China
The Korean strategist admitted his mistake when he made hasty substitutions that caused the Vietnamese team to lose 2-3 to the Chinese team.
Speaking at a press conference after the match between China and Vietnam in the third qualifying round of the 2022 World Cup in Asia, coach Park Hang-seo admitted that his hasty substitution of defenders caused his team to lose to their opponent.
The Korean strategist said: “The Vietnamese team lost 2-3 to China, especially losing a goal in extra time. As we know, the team played well today, not giving up even though they were 2 goals behind. However, we also feel a bit regretful. Maybe, I changed the defender position too quickly. That was my fault.”

Accordingly, goalkeeper Tran Liem Dieu, defender Hoang Xuan Tan (Nam Dinh), midfielder Huynh Cong Den (SHB Da Nang), Pham Xuan Luan (Sai Gon FC), striker Le Minh Binh (CAND) are the ones whose names are not on the list. Previously, the coaching board also eliminated two players Dung Quang Nho and Nguyen Duy Kien of Hoang Anh Gia Lai due to health reasons.
Gathering from August 10 with 30 players, the list of the U22 Vietnam team has actually changed a lot as some young players of the team have been called up by coach Park Hang-seo to join the Vietnam team in the past time. This is very good for the young players, because it helps them gain more experience and courage when they can rub shoulders and learn from their seniors.
