Coach Pham Anh Tuan explains Song Lam Nghe An's loss to Hoang Anh Gia Lai
After losing to Hoang Anh Gia Lai in round 2 of V.League 2024/25, coach Pham Anh Tuan pointed out the reasons that Song Lam Nghe An needs to overcome.
In the second round of V.League 2024/25 taking place on the afternoon of September 21 at Pleiku Stadium, Song Lam Nghe An suffered a 2-0 defeat against the home team Hoang Anh Gia Lai. Despite their best efforts, coach Pham Anh Tuan and his team were unable to create a surprise against a team that was considered more evenly matched.

Speaking after this defeat, coach Pham Anh Tuan expressed disappointment and said that there is still much work to do with the Nghe An team.
''We are quite regretful that we had opportunities but the players could not take advantage of them. Without Zaracho (who received a red card in the previous match - PV), Hoang Anh Gia Lai's high balls will be more dangerous.
Evaluating the two foreign players of Song Lam Nghe An, and the playing style of the home team Hoang Anh Gia Lai, the captain of the Nghe team said: ''The two players Olaha and Benjamin Kuku did not play very well today. Hoang Anh Gia Lai's strength is their quick counter-attacking style. Their players are very smooth, and will be very dangerous for teams that play offensively with Hoang Anh Gia Lai''.

After this defeat, Song Lam Nghe An Club will return home to welcome neighboring team Hong Linh Ha Tinh. Coach Pham Anh Tuan said that he and his players must try their best in the next matches. ''Not only against Ha Tinh team, but in every match, the team will try their best, thereby, dedicating beautiful matches to the audience''.
Mr. Tuan also said that Song Lam Nghe An players need to improve their finishing, with young players it is impossible to avoid personal mistakes, hopefully they will improve in each match.
After a draw and a loss, Song Lam Nghe An Club got 1 point. The Nghe An team will return to Vinh Stadium to welcome Hong Linh Ha Tinh in round 3 of V-League 2024/25, the match will take place at 6:00 p.m. on September 29./.
