Coach Phan Nhu Thuat and goalkeeper Cao Van Binh and U22 Vietnam attend friendly tournament in China

The Vietnam U22 team will gather on August 30, this is the second gathering in 2024 of the Vietnam U22 team, after a short gathering a week ago.

This training session coincides with the time when the Vietnamese team gathers for FIFA Days in September 2024 and competes in the LPBank Cup 2024 international friendly football tournament, so coach Kim Sang-sik has entrusted Assistant Dinh Hong Vinh to take on the position of Acting Head Coach of the Vietnam U22 team.

Coach Dinh Hong Vinh is a member of the coaching staff of the Vietnam U22 team in the recent training session. He is known as one of the most experienced coaches in youth training. He won two bronze medals when leading the Vietnam U16 and U19 teams to participate in the Southeast Asian Championship in 2007 and 2009.

In the miracle of U20 Vietnam when winning a ticket to the final round of the FIFA U20 World Cup in 2017, coach Dinh Hong Vinh also received high appreciation from head coach Hoang Anh Tuan for his contributions on the coaching bench.

According to the plan, the U22 Vietnam team will gather again on August 30. Regarding the force, the team still mainly summons the players who participated in the recent training session, including notable faces such as goalkeeper Cao Van Binh of Song Lam Nghe An club, defender Nguyen Duc Anh, midfielder Khuat Van Khang, Nguyen Thai Son, strikers Nguyen Thanh Nhan, Nguyen Quoc Viet, Nguyen Dinh Bac...

In addition to head coach Dinh Hong Vinh, the coaching staff also includes assistants: Nam Kung Do (Korea), Phan Nhu Thuat, goalkeeper coach Tran Minh Quang, and fitness coach Brandi Regato Neto Jose (Brazil).

The 2024 CFA Team China International Friendly Tournament will take place from September 2 to September 10 in Changsha City, China. The tournament will feature four teams: China, Vietnam, Uzbekistan and Malaysia.
