What did the Brunei U23 coach say about the match result with Vietnam U23?
(Baonghean.vn) - After the first match of the 2020 U23 Asian qualifiers, the head coaches of the two teams shared their thoughts about the match and their predictions for the next opponent.
U23 Brunei coach: "The match result did not surprise me"
“Vietnam is the leading football team in Southeast Asia, even Asia. U23 Brunei tried very hard today, following the set tactics. The result of the match did not surprise me."
Regarding defender Wafi crying after receiving a red card, coach Stephen Ng Heng Seng shared: "I was standing too far away so I don't know exactly what happened, but it seems like my player didn't expect to receive a red card, so he was stunned. I'm sorry that my defender received a red card, but U23 Brunei has no other choice but to focus on the upcoming match against U23 Thailand."
“I can only say that U23 Vietnam has many good players and a good quality squad. I am really sad after U23 Brunei suffered a 0-6 defeat” - U23 Brunei coach sadly replied when asked about the match result.

“What impressed me most about U23 Vietnam is that each individual has very good personal skills, especially captain number 19 (Quang Hai). Hopefully when I return to Brunei, I will find more players like that. Finally, congratulations to U23 Vietnam for today's victory” – Coach Stephen Ng Heng Seng praised Quang Hai and congratulated U23 Vietnam before leaving the press conference room.
Coach Park Hang Seo expressed satisfaction with the victory over U23 Brunei:
“I am satisfied with today’s victory even though U23 Vietnam is not yet 100% complete. I appreciate the players for their efforts in playing and implementing the coaching staff’s plan. However, U23 Vietnam still has a lot to try.”
"Regarding Dinh Trong, when finalizing the list, I had to think a lot. However, I considered it very carefully. Medically, Dinh Trong can play, even if he cannot play the full 90 minutes, he must be able to play 45 minutes" - the Korean coach answered when asked about the return of central defender Tran Dinh Trong.
Coach Park Hang Seo talked about the "cross and header" attack of U23 Vietnam in this match: "Normally, when going down the sidelines, we have 2 options, high cross or low cross. Today, we made quite a few crosses when going down the sidelines. Actually, I don't want to cross too much. The most suitable playing style for us is small, short, taking advantage of the sharpness of the players."

Coach Park Hang-seo commented on U23 Indonesia:
“The composition of U23 Indonesia and U23 Thailand are very different from the recent U22 Southeast Asian tournament. U23 Indonesia changed 4 players, U23 Thailand changed 15 players.
Regarding U23 Indonesia, I think this team has the ability to pass short and exploit gaps quite well. As for U23 Thailand, they are the hosts of the 2020 AFC U23 Championship, so they have prepared very carefully and today we saw how well they prepared. In my opinion, the U23 Thai players all have very good technical and tactical skills."
Coach Park Hang thanked the fans before ending the post-match press conference:
“I know that Vietnamese people love football very much, so even though not many spectators came to the stadium today, they will definitely still watch and cheer for U23 Vietnam on TV. That is also an encouragement and on behalf of the whole team, I would like to thank the fans."
