Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Nguyen Xuan Cuong said that so far, 5 out of 10 large enterprises producing animal feed have reduced the price of animal feed by about 100 billion VND. Some of them have stopped selling pork to the market by slaughtering, freezing and storing it in cold storage. The supermarket chains Big C and Saigon Co.opmart have reduced the price of pork by 15 to 20% to stimulate consumption.

This is the time when the livestock industry needs to clearly recognize the shortcomings to overcome small-scale production towards sustainable development and integration. Minister Nguyen Xuan Cuong asked livestock farmers not to sell off pigs at the present time.
