Hua Na Hydropower Reservoir will operate to discharge water tomorrow (September 3)

Due to the increase in total water flow to the lake, Hua Na hydroelectric reservoir is expected to discharge water from 11:30 a.m. on September 3.

At 4:31 p.m. on September 2, the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense received Notice No. 598 dated September 2 from Hua Na Hydropower Joint Stock Company, regarding the operation of the Hua Na Hydropower Reservoir discharge project.
Accordingly, the total water flow to the lake reached 168m3/s and is on the rise, expected to reach 250m3/S.

To ensure the safe operation of water discharge from Hua Na hydropower reservoir in accordance with the inter-reservoir operation process on the Ma River basin approved by the Prime Minister, Hua Na Hydropower Joint Stock Company (PV Power HHC) plans to operate water discharge from Hua Na hydropower reservoir as follows:
Estimated time of water discharge through spillway gates: 11:30 a.m., September 3, 2024.
Discharge flow: Total discharge flow is expected to be about 255m3/s (including through generating sets, spillway gates and environmental relief valves).
Time to complete water discharge through spillway: until completion of reservoir regulation operation process.
The Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense informs: Que Phong District People's Committee and Heads of provincial departments, branches and sectors to inform authorities at all levels, agencies, units, investors constructing along the river, on the river, owners of water transport vehicles and all people in the downstream area of ​​Hua Na Hydropower Plant to carry out necessary work, ensuring the safety of life and property of the State and the People.
