"Being a vegetarian helps me see things more positively."

- The last time you appeared was in a music show commemorating the late musician An Thuyên - your most respected and closest mentor?

That's right! Teacher An Thuyên played a huge role in my singing career. Without him, there wouldn't be a Hồ Quỳnh Hương like today. Perhaps, currently, I'm working in some kind of profession in Hạ Long, Quảng Ninh.

Whenever I faced difficulties, I always received encouragement from my teacher. He always called me "my little Quỳnh Hương flower." Thanks to him, I always found the strength to overcome all the challenges in showbiz.

- What memory of teacher An Thuyên can you never forget?

Everyone loved him but also feared him because he was very strict. But he always doted on me and treated me like his own daughter. He also said he was very happy to have discovered me.

There's a memory of my teacher that I'll never forget. That day, after finishing my studies, I asked the school for permission to go out and perform for a wider audience. However, according to regulations, Teacher An Thuyên did not allow me to do that.

At the time, I was angry with my teacher and texted a friend, but accidentally sent it to my teacher's number. Afterwards, he didn't say anything, and I had to apologize to him. After this incident, he allowed me to go out and perform for a wider range of audiences.

- What is the reason for your reduced public appearances lately?

I'm a person with a strong personality. Art is a passion I never stop pursuing, but I'm also always exploring other aspects of myself. When I earned some money from singing, I used it to start all sorts of businesses.

Currently, I'm also a vegetarian, so I opened a vegetarian restaurant to encourage people to stay healthy. Fortunately, I've met many people who have helped me, so things have gone smoothly. Besides singing, I dedicate a lot of time to my business and other hobbies, so you might see me less often.

The singer is becoming increasingly youthful, beautiful, and at peace with her life.

- Is your life very peaceful now because you're a vegetarian?

I started being a vegetarian about fifteen years ago. But I think it came naturally to me. People say I have some kind of special connection to it, which is why I'm like this.

I find that being a vegetarian is both good for my health and makes me feel more at peace. It's such a good thing, there's no reason why I shouldn't do it.

- Since becoming a vegetarian, have you felt lighter and more peaceful?

Yes, absolutely. I feel that if I weren't a vegetarian, my life probably wouldn't be as peaceful as it is now. I would have difficulty finding quiet space for myself. Since becoming a vegetarian, I don't hate anyone and I see things more positively. I've noticed myself changing year after year.

In the past, I might have been bothered by other people's flaws. But now, I focus on each person's strengths because I understand that no one is perfect. As a result, I feel my life is becoming more and more enjoyable.

Previously, my joy wouldn't last more than a day, but now, my sadness can't last more than a day either. I feel very peaceful inside.

- If you don't appear in public often, aren't you afraid that the audience will forget you?

For an artist, the greatest happiness isn't just about being remembered by the audience, but about what they've accomplished while they're there. When you're born an artist, all you need to do is do your best. I don't think others need to think about me. Just having someone sing my songs makes me very happy.

Ho Quynh Huong wants to thank her "ex-boyfriend" Ha Dung for everything that has happened.

So what about your intention to find a man of your own?

I'm just like everyone else and I really want that. But perhaps I have to wait for my destiny. Let everything happen naturally. Coming together through coercion or effort will only lead to unhappy outcomes and hurt many people. Right now, my life is very happy.

- Are you currently not in a relationship?

Right now I'm still single and have no house (laughs).

- Artists are often very emotional; are you afraid of falling in love because of past traumas with Ha Dung?

During that time, it also took me a while to regain balance in my life. But I also understand that nothing is indelible by time. It's been a long time since I last saw that person. I heard they have a happy life, so I'm very happy for them.

For me, right now, I know the path I need to take, so I'm not affected by the past. Looking back, I want to be grateful for everything that has happened. Because without them, I probably wouldn't be where I am today.

Ho Quynh Huong is still waiting for her man to appear.

- Do you and Mr. Ha Dung still maintain a friendly relationship?

Since that incident, I haven't seen that person again. If I were to meet him now, I would probably be very happy. He's not just a friend, but also like an older brother. I'm confident I can smile brightly when I see him again because I'm no longer burdened by the past.

- Living alone, do you ever feel lonely?

Sometimes I feel lonely. Being calm doesn't mean I'm like a stone. I still feel sad, happy, and have many other emotions. Sometimes I wonder why I don't have a man by my side like other people. But everything has its downsides, and I'm waiting for my destined partner.

- What kind of man are you looking for?

I just want someone who knows how to listen and understand. I'm quite independent and don't want to be restricted or forced into anything. I think it's best for everyone to be free and live happily.
