Providing support of 11,200,000 VND for patient Vu Y Go.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of February 27th, Venerable Thich Tam Phuong - Standing Committee Member of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Ha Tinh province; Head of the Buddhist Representative Board of Huong Son district; Abbot of Nhieu Long Pagoda (Huong Son - Ha Tinh), along with monks and Buddhist followers of Nhieu Long Pagoda, visited the Nghe An Oncology Hospital to visit and donate 11,200,000 VND to Vu Y Go, 12 years old, son of Mr. Vu Ba Va, a H'mong ethnic minority from Phu Kha 1 hamlet, Na Ngoi commune, Ky Son district, Nghe An province.
On February 20, 2014, Gồ was taken to the Nghe An Oncology Hospital for examination and admission. There, doctors said that Gồ had a Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma tumor behind the eyeball, requiring surgery to remove the left eye, followed by multiple rounds of chemotherapy in order to have any hope of saving his life.

Vu Ba Va's family has four children, and Go is their eldest daughter. Neither Vu Ba Va nor his wife speak Vietnamese. Vu Y Go herself has worked in the fields with her parents since childhood, receiving no formal education and not knowing the common language.
Now, the family is so poor that they are having great difficulty finding the money to pay for Gồ's treatment.
