Support 38,000 billion for workers and employers affected by Covid-19 epidemic

This support packageIt shows the concern of the Party and State, the timely support and sharing of difficulties for both sides.worker(Employees) and employers, promoting the role of unemployment insurance policy in taking care of unemployed employees while being a support for employers and ensuring harmony in the principles of contribution - enjoyment and sharing.

The conditions and procedures to benefit from this support package are very simple, and are deployed nationwide on the existing IT platform of the Social Insurance industry. Accordingly, the difference of this support package is that businesses and employees who pay social insurance for at least one month will benefit, even in cases where they owe social insurance.

After the conference, at Nghe An bridge, Mr. Hoang Van Minh - Director of the Provincial Social Insurance directed and requested the professional departments and Social Insurance of districts and towns to immediately implement support policies in the spirit of Resolution No. 116/NQ-CP dated September 24, 2021 of the Government.

It is expected that the whole Nghe An province will have about 9,800 units benefiting.policyreduce the contribution to the unemployment insurance fund (equivalent to a reduction of nearly 91,500 million VND/12 months) and about 164,000 workers enjoy unemployment insurance policies from this support package.

Beneficiaries of this support package are:

- Employers specified in Article 43 of the Law on Employment who are participating in unemployment insurance before October 1, 2021 are entitled to a reduction in contributions from 1% to 0% of the monthly salary fund of employees who are participating in unemployment insurance. The reduction period is 12 months, from October 1, 2021 to September 30, 2022.

- Employees participating in unemployment insurance as of September 30, 2021 (named on the list of unemployment insurance participants of the Social Insurance agency); Employees who have stopped participating in unemployment insurance due to termination of labor contracts or work contracts in the period from January 1, 2020 to September 30, 2021Social insurance payment period is reserved according to the provisions of the law on employment.

This support policy does not apply to employees and employers at state agencies, political organizations, socio-political organizations, people's armed forces, public service units whose regular expenditures are guaranteed by the state budget according to the provisions of Clause 4, Article 9 of Decree No. 60/2021/ND-CP dated June 21, 2021 of the Government regulating the financial autonomy mechanism of public service units and cases of voluntary refusal to receive support; Does not apply to people who have a decision to receive a monthly pension.
