After 2 months of tension, Dai Duong Company agreed to spend 500 million VND to support Mr. Nguyen Duy Muon in Sam Son City, Thanh Hoa Province to fix the problem of the steel-hulled ship built under Decree 67.

After a long period of disagreement, the two sides finally found a common voice. The budget that Dai Duong Shipbuilding Joint Stock Company agreed to spend to support Mr. Nguyen Duy Muon's family to repair and fix problems related to the steel-hulled ship with registration number TH-93968-TS built under Decree 67 is 500 million VND.

Through discussion, Mr. Nguyen Duc Cuong, Head of the Department of Exploitation and Protection of Aquatic Resources (Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Thanh Hoa province) confirmed the above information.

It is known that initially, Mr. Nguyen Duy Muon, residing in Tien Loi block, Quang Cu ward, Sam Son city, requested the shipbuilding unit to spend a total of 800 million VND, including 200 million VND to repair the generator, the rest for the main electrical system.

The budget that Dai Duong Shipbuilding Joint Stock Company agreed to spend to support Mr. Nguyen Duy Muon's family to repair and fix the steel-hulled ship built according to Decree 67 is 500 million VND.

“I agreed for two reasons. Firstly, the factory has shown goodwill to cooperate, secondly, the ship has been on shore for too long, and the additional costs have made the pressure heavier and heavier. With this progress, it is expected that all repair stages will be completed in a few days, and I hope that incidents like the recent ones will not happen again,” Mr. Muon confided.

Mr. Muon's fishing boat has a total investment of nearly 18 billion VND, of which 16.8 billion VND is a bank loan and more than 886 million VND is counterpart capital. The shipbuilder is Dai Duong Joint Stock Company, located in Thuy Hai Commune, Thai Thuy, Thai Binh.

Despite the huge cost, the efficiency of the steel-hulled ship was not as expected, most of the offshore trips encountered problems leading to heavy losses. According to actual records, in just a few short months, a series of items "fell ill" one after another: the storage system was not guaranteed, the hydraulic winch had continuous problems, 2 generators, the hydraulic steering machine was damaged, the light bulbs burned out...

Faced with the above situation, Mr. Muon's family has repeatedly contacted Dai Duong Company to request a final settlement.

Currently, Mr. Muon's family is actively working to fix the problem, and it is expected that in the next few days the ship will be able to set sail again.

The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and the People's Committee of Sam Son City have repeatedly come together to discuss a plan. Initially, the company only committed to replacing a few damaged fluid reservoirs and light bulbs, and resolutely refused to accept the proposed support of VND800 million that Mr. Muon proposed, because the 6-month warranty period had long passed (August 25, 2016 - February 21, 2017).

However, because Mr. Muon's family firmly maintained their viewpoint and with the drastic intervention of related units, Dai Duong Company finally agreed to spend 500 million VND to thoroughly resolve the problems.
