Support for the operation of the Vinh - Vientiane international flight route.

(Baonghean)The efficient operation of the Vinh - Vientiane flight route and the early upgrading of Vinh Airport to an international airport are necessary, creating favorable conditions for attracting investment, tourism, and socio-economic development of Nghe An province in particular and the North Central region in general.

Therefore, maintaining the Vinh - Vientiane flight route is crucial in adjusting the Vinh airport plan to become an international airport and opening additional flight routes. Thus, on June 19, 2014, the Provincial People's Committee issued Official Letter No. 4198/UBND-GT requesting the 4th Military Region, provincial departments, agencies, and organizations; the People's Committees of districts, cities, and towns; universities in the province; business associations; entrepreneurs; and agencies and businesses located in the province to continue supporting the dissemination of information about the flight route to organizations, officials, employees, the public, and students.The Vinh - Vientiane route also encourages and motivates people, officials, and employees to participate in work and tourism activities via the Vinh - Vientiane flight. Each sector, district, and unit should strive to organize one delegation between now and August 2014.

The Department of Transport is designated as the focal point, proactively contacting the relevant units to arrange the delegation; coordinating with Vietnam Airlines' branch in Nghe An to organize participation in the flight route appropriately, and compiling monthly reports on the implementation results to the Provincial People's Committee.

We request that agencies, units, and businesses pay attention to implementing the above content for the development of Vinh Airport, so that Vinh Airport can contribute even better to the socio-economic development of the province.
