Support to build half a million flood-proof houses for people

According to Nghe An Department of Construction: By July 30, 2017, implementing Decision 48/2014/QD-TTg, this province has supported 510 flood-proof houses for people. Of which, 380 houses were newly built, 130 houses were renovated and raised floors, reaching 85% of the total number of houses needing support (600 houses).

Specifically: 230 households have been supported to live in extremely disadvantaged villages, 25 households have been supported to live in disadvantaged areas; 255 households have been supported to live in the remaining areas.

The allocated capital for implementing the support is 16,165 million VND. Of which: Central budget capital is 9,670 million VND; loan capital from the Social Policy Bank is 6,495 million VND.

Regarding housing quality: In addition to the State's support capital and loans as prescribed, localities have mobilized additional capital from the community and the participation and contributions of households. Therefore, most of the houses exceed the prescribed area and quality. The average area of ​​each house is about 45m2, of which the flood-proof floor has an area of ​​12-15m2.

The houses are built with quality materials; brick walls; reinforced concrete foundations, columns, and floors; tiled roofs or corrugated iron with storm-proof details; tiled or cement-plastered floors. All houses are securely and securely covered. The prices of most houses range from 50 to 60 million VND, with many houses costing up to 100 to 150 million VND.
