The champion of Vietnam Idol Kids 2016 competes for the award with many seniors in the music industry.
In the top 5 nominees for the "Impressive Singer" category of a television award, Ho Van Cuong appeared with Son Tung MTP, Khoi My, My Tam, and Noo Phuoc Thinh.
The award organizers commented: "Ho Van Cuong's journey at the Vietnam Idol Kids competition is likened to a fairy tale with a sweet ending for a gentle, talented boy. The boy from Tien Giang conquered the audience with a particularly attractive voice through folk melodies."

Comedians dominated the "Impressive MC" category, with Tran Thanh competing with Truong Giang, Dai Nghia, Viet Huong, and MC Ngoc Trinh (Chuyen Dong 24).
The "Impressive Comedian" category also featured many familiar names such as Tran Thanh, Truong Giang, Viet Huong, Hoai Linh, Thu Trang.
The category "Impressive Male Actor" is a competition between Hong Dang, Manh Truong, Binh Minh, Chi Nhan, and Viet Anh.
Nha Phuong, Cao Thai Ha, Mai Thu Huyen, Ninh Duong Lan Ngoc, Diem Huong compete for the "Impressive Actress" award.
In addition, the award also has categories "Person of the Year" and "Impressive News Image".
The representative of the organizing committee - Mr. Lai Van Sam - explained why many people who have had scandals about their private lives and work in the past, such as Tran Thanh and Son Tung MTP, still appeared in the top 5 nominees: "This result was voted by the television audience, so we have to respect it. On the other hand, the scandalous information has not been verified, so we cannot use it as an excuse to evaluate and judge them."
After the nominations are announced, the competition will move into a second round with the participation of the audience and a panel of experts to find the winner. The awards ceremony will take place on September 7.
