'Resolving love affairs' online, a woman was scammed out of 200 million VND
Knowing that a woman in town was having trouble in her love life and wanted to have her fortune told, Huong told the woman that she was "being followed by a spirit" and advised her to "make an offering to resolve the problem"...
On the morning of November 21, the Office of the Investigation Police Agency of Thua Thien Hue Province Police announced that it had just issued a decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused, and temporarily detain two subjects Vo Hoai Nhon (born 1995) and Nguyen Thi Huong (born 1996, residing in Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City) for the act offraud and appropriation of property.
According to the police, Vo Hoai Nhon and Nguyen Thi Huong live together as husband and wife in Ho Chi Minh City.

Since May 2020, due to difficult life, Huong thought of a way to use the Facebook account "Bi Nguyen" to join fortune-telling groups on the internet to tell fortunes for others to receive money.
In early 2021, through online fortune telling, Huong met a woman in Khe Tre town (Nam Dong district, Thua Thien Hue province). Knowing that this person had problems in love and wanted to have her fortune told, Huong told this woman that she was "followed by a spirit" and advised her to "make an offering to resolve the problem".
Next, Huong gave this woman Vo Hoai Nhon's phone number and introduced him as a "master of spell-breaking".

Believing Huong, the woman exchanged information with Nhon. Then Huong and Nhon took turns texting the woman asking her to transfer money into the account to perform the agreed rituals.
After transferring nearly 200 million VND to two people, the woman realized she had been scammed and reported it to the police.
