Miss Do My Linh officially became MC of VTV24

Contacting Do My Linh, she said she signed a contract with VTV a long time ago, but due to being busy, the first Consumer Finance News program she was in charge of officially aired on October 24.

Miss Vietnam 2016 shared that becoming a news editor has been her dream for a long time. In early 2018, she received an invitation to collaborate with news editor Ngoc Trinh and immediately agreed.

“My 2-year term as beauty queen has ended and I have also graduated, so I need to find a stable career. When the opportunity came, I immediately agreed to try it without much thought or hesitation,” Do My Linh shared.

Sharing about her first broadcast, Do My Linh said she needs to gain experience and learn more to be able to do better.

“Although I had practiced many times before going on air, I still felt awkward when presenting the news. The 2-3 hours of filming went by so quickly that sometimes my presentation was not as smooth as I wanted. I also hope I can do better next time,” Do My Linh added.

When becoming a news editor, Do My Linh was directly guided by runner-up Thuy Van. My Linh shared that MC Thuy Van is an older sister and also someone she has admired for a long time because of her natural, close but no less professional hosting style.

There were times when My Linh was scolded by her senior Thuy Van for not doing well, but she did not feel sad, but only felt lucky to have an experienced senior to guide her.

MC Thuy Van also commented on her “student”. She said that Do My Linh is an intelligent person and has the foundation to become a good editor.

“I am normally gentle but when I instruct the students I am quite strict. There are times when I scold My Linh but only with the purpose of hoping that the students will progress faster,” Thuy Van said.

Do My Linh (born 1996) was crowned Miss Vietnam in 2016. Last September, she completed her 2-year term as Miss and handed over the crown to the new Miss Vietnam 2018 Tran Tieu Vy.
