Miss Huong Giang talks about the pain of her transgender journey

Miss International Queen 2018 Huong Giang has been increasingly loved by the LGBT community in particular and society in general since she won the noble title. She has also proven herself and her talent to society. But to have Huong Giang succeed as she is today is a long journey full of effort and tears.

Huong Giang said that after a long time of saving up some money, she ran away from her family to Thailand alone to fulfill her long-standing dream of becoming the girl she wanted to be. Although she had never been abroad and did not know what Thailand was like, as soon as she set foot in a foreign land, the doctor immediately informed her that she had to prepare for surgery immediately or else she would have to wait more than a week for her turn.

Accepting the doctor's request for financial reasons, during the 3 hours waiting for the life-changing surgery, images of patients in pain flashed by, making her even more afraid.

After the surgery, returning to Vietnam, Huong Giang faced another challenge when facing her own family. Huong Giang said that the first person she dared to meet was her mother because "nothing can be hidden from a mother's eyes". Seeing her daughter's drastic change in appearance, Huong Giang's mother exclaimed: "Why did you get your breasts so big?" which surprised her. As for her father, she did not dare and had to avoid him for 2-3 months.

Beginning to notice that there were some strange things about a boy's body, A Li (Hai's older sister) started to like wearing girls' dresses, liking lipstick, liking to be graceful even when she was only a teenager.

Seeing her sister suffer at that time, Ba felt even more sad and did not dare to reveal her personality until she was 12 years old, Ba decided to take care of herself like a girl. Not wanting to see her sister suffer like her, Hai's sister revealed that she once asked her friend to beat Ba to wake her up because she herself was too miserable.

Luckier than her sister, Ba was once strictly controlled and disapproved by her parents, but time changed the family's thinking. Her parents gradually understood her better and silently supported Ba when she decided to change gender to find herself again.
