Miss Jennifer Pham, runner-up Huyen My, B Tran... surprised everyone when they participated in the movie "Angel's Destiny" - a film project inspired by Vietnam's efforts to fight Covid-19.

With the desire to bring the Vietnamese national spirit in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic to the screen, director Huynh Tuan Anh has been preparing for pre-production for "Angel's Fate" - a film project inspired by Vietnam's efforts to fight the Covid-19 pandemic.

"The film is like a small word of gratitude and encouragement that our team wants to send to the medical team and all Vietnamese people. The silent white-coat soldiers have been fighting tirelessly for the past 500 days and more. The Vietnamese people have been cooperating well with the Government and spreading the spirit of "the healthy leaves cover the torn leaves". Let's thank each other and encourage each other", director Huynh Anh Tuan shared.

"Angel's Destiny" was conceived since the beginning of the pandemic in 2021, but had to be postponed many times due to the need to revise and update unprecedented materials that are taking place every day according to the developments of the pandemic. Director Huynh affirmed that this is not a film specializing in medicine, but the film is fictionalized from stories collected in the fight against the pandemic that have been reflected in the media over the past time.

"The film explores and explores the inner world, emotions, and dire situations that people have to face: the boundary between life and death, and the complex state of people when facing a terrible virus," director Huynh Tuan Anh added.

In the film, the audience will follow a shipper who specializes in delivering urns of cremated ashes of victims who died during the pandemic. His memories take him back to the early days when the directive to lock down hospitals with infected cases throughout Vietnam.

During the 15-day lockdown, doctors and patients were suddenly "locked down" in a state of "no one in or out", and he himself was a victim of this situation. The hospital now became a miniature society - a place with all classes and backgrounds. They were all on the same boat, with the same fate: fighting the virus or succumbing to illness and fear.

Inspired by the fight against Covid-19 of the entire Vietnamese people, the film has medical advice from prestigious doctors, but the theme of medical ethics is the highlight of the film. This is shown through the sacrifice of the medical team for the patients, recreating a small slice of the fighting spirit and humane dignity of "the whole leaves cover the torn leaves" of the Vietnamese people in this battle.

During the implementation of Directive 16, the "Angel's Destiny" crew changed the plan to shoot posters in the studio to posters based on hand-drawn paintings by artists Nguyen Dinh, Doan Quoc and Le Sa Long.

The film brings together famous names such as: Miss Jennifer Pham, Runner-up Huyen My, actors Tien Loc, B Tran, Meritorious Artist My Duyen, Meritorious Artist Tuyet Thu... The film is expected to be released in February 2022.
