Miss My Linh and Diem My 9x wear ao dai on the walking street
The two beauties are ambassadors of the 2018 Ao Dai Festival held in Ho Chi Minh City.
On the evening of March 3, Miss My Linh attended the opening ceremony of the 5th Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival. She chose the classic waist-cinching ao dai style of old Saigon women, designed by Le Thanh Phuong. The ao dai was bright red, with a V-neck and a floor-sweeping skirt.
Recently, more and more stylized ao dai have appeared. However, My Linh believes that the traditional ao dai still has its own value, never goes out of fashion and is luxurious and elegant. She wants to encourage young Vietnamese women to wear the traditional ao dai more.
Diem My 9x wears a digitally printed ao dai from hand-painted oil paintings calledManaquin's lifeby Nguyen Khac Chinh. The collection is a collaboration between designer Adrian Anh Tuan and the artist to honor traditional and artistic values.
Hua Vi Van wears a lotus embroidered ao dai by designer Thuy Nguyen.
Kyo York is the event's only foreign ambassador.
This year's Ao Dai Festival ambassadors are Meritorious Artist Kim Xuan - Thanh Loc, director Duc Thinh and his wife Thanh Thuy, singers Nguyen Phi Hung, Kyo York, MC Quynh Hoa, actress Hua Vi Van, Diem My 9x, Nguyen Thi Thach Thao - first prize winner of Charming Ao Dai.
